The Frogger project is making good progress and it’s looking like there will only be another 3 – 4 articles in this series. The next should be released in around a weeks time and will contain all of the essential game-play. Leaving only differing level difficulty, scoring, sound and demo/splash screens to implement. I really want to build a model cabinet for it for article/episode 4 but not sure how easy it will all be to fit in if I do it to scale (which for me it must be). Hardest part is implementing the control panel when I cannot find a supplier of mini joysticks. Manufacturing my own feels like it would take up more time than I’m willing to give up when other projects are calling.
Certainly in the future if I can grow the site and Youtube channel I would be looking at buying equipment to help make some of these custom parts myself, but for now that’s some distance away. First priority is a proper high quality microphone as I very aware of the poor and variable sound quality on my videos. So that will be the first purchase to improve the channel as the small amount of ad-revenue builds up.
I write this on New Years Eve 2017, so I hope that all of my readers and YouTube supporters have a very happy 2018.
